The Wolfpack Reporting System Rewrite Committee was formed to meet with the campus community to gather information about how the
Wolfpack Reporting System (WRS) is used today and how it can evolve in the future to better meet the needs of campus.
The committee is tasked with informing campus about the WRS Rewrite Project, gathering and analyzing feedback, and
communicating follow up information back to campus. The main goal of the WRS Rewrite Project is to address the current performance issues
related to running reports and using the drill downs, with additional goals of removing reports no longer being used and exploring future
enhancements and reports.

WRS Rewrite Project Update
In October 2014, the Wolfpack Reporting System was updated to improve performance and add some useful new functionality.
The Main Menu now stays open as its own tab/window with each report opening in a new tab/window. Not having to reload
the Main Menu for each new report saves time, and multiple reports can now be open simultaneously with drill down and
rerun functionality available in each. For the next phase, the design proposal includes combining and rewriting some of the reports. The goals are to combine the best features of the reports, eliminate confusion on which reports to use, provide additional ways to view data using WRS, and provide training on a better defined set of reports. We have completed the design review and have met with several groups around campus to preview the changes being proposed. We have started the development work and hope to publish a project plan soon. Currently, our target go-live date is January 2016. Several members of our campus community have been selected to participate on the project team as design consultants, testers, and trainers. We will post updates as they become relevant during the project. |
